And no, this possum did not end up in a pie, even though I would have liked to punish it. It tried to hijack my car when I left the door open while I was unloading groceries. It is safe and sound now; Animal Control came and made sure it got back into the woods where it belongs.

I'm enjoying your blog! My grandfather was a gentleman farmer, butcher and grocer in the Shenandoah Valley. I always enjoyed my visits to "the farm" growing up-- esp. the baby goats and calves! The chickens, for some strange reason, gave me the heeby-jeebies. :)

Thanks, Erica!
It's fun to do, and if you have any favorite venues you'd like me to check out, please feel free to suggest them.
I raise goats and you are right, baby goats are just about the cutest things in the world!

Hi,
Oh know a possum in your car. I actually had a dream the other night that a possum was in the house and was chasing my dog. I woke my husband and asked if that animal could come through our dog flap... Oh course it could. Scary I would have lost my mind.
Enjoy your blog...Have a wonderful day. Donna (in PA)
But I LOVE possum pie...
