Happy New Blog!

LoCoVore has been inactive for several years. In that time, the food scene here in Western Loudoun County has taken off like a taco truck afire! While I still have some qualms and frustrations with the various veteran and start up restaurants, wineries, distilleries, breweries, cideries, and purveyors in the area, I can't quarrel with their sincerity and vision.

In 2015, I will be widening the scope of this blog to include informal reviews of restaurants, cafes, ethnic and gourmet stores, etc. in addition to the farm food- and beverage-related coverage I did previously. I will try to cover a couple of locations a month and post my impressions. I am planning to revisit Monk's BBQ in Purcellville and the newly-opened Mom's Apple Pie at Hill High in Round Hill in January.
